Earth Problems

Project WAPS4 Earth’s Problems

Welcome to our Earth’s Problems Page. Here we will discuss the major issues that we face today. Those issues are The Coming Fresh Water Shortage, The Rising Sea Levels, and Increasing Carbon in the Atomsphere. These issues are leading to human health issues, global warming, desertification, drought and food shortages and the lack of clean energy around the world.

The Coming Global Water Crisis

The single most devastating issue we face today is the ever increasing fresh water shortage. Water is the key ingredient to all life on earth and without it there would be none. As the population of earth increases, water consumption increases which in turn reduces the resource we rely on for everything. This can lead to massive droughts, famines, and wars. We see this today in areas where seas, lakes, rivers, creeks, and streams dry up. These bodies of water are vital to earth’s water cycle. When this cycle stops, we will no longer have fresh water being created which can and will lead to an enormous loss of life. It is paramount that we resolve this issue before we reach it’s “Point of No Return” where regardless of what we do; we will not be able to stop the coming water shortage. Below is a video that depicts the crisis and what it has done so far to the planet and it’s people.

The Rising Sea Level Crisis

The second most devastating crisis we face today is the Rising Sea Level as discussed in the video below. Majority of the Earth’s population is concentrated on or near the Ocean’s or on the Delta’s and Rivers opening up into the Oceans and Seas. As the planet’s climate warms, more ice melts at the polar caps causing the oceans and seas to rise. The rise in water level will wipe out majority of the cities around the world. It will contaminate the remaining fresh water sources with salt water thus reducing our fresh water supply. The rising waters will also force those habitants in those coastal cities to higher ground and this could lead to wars over population migration. This along with the loss of fertile zones that produce agriculture will lead to major wars for both fresh water resources and premier agricultural areas to sustain nation’s populations.

The increase of Carbon in Earth’s Atmosphere

The third most devastating crisis we face today is the amount of pollution that we are releasing into our atmosphere. As the population increases, demand for goods will increase. In order to meet that demand, companies will have to increase their manufacturing capabilities by building additional factories. Those additional factories will increase the amount of air pollution that is being released into our atmosphere. The increased air pollution will affect everything on earth as witnessed by the smog in major cities like LA and Beijing and there is even evidence that pollution is also getting into our food, soil, and water. This will compound the water shortage and rising water crisis that we are facing as demonstrated in this video.

If we do not solve the above three issues that we are faced with today, we stand a very good chance of losing majority of everything that we have worked so hard to build and preserve. War, disease, and famine will claim billions of lives and cost trillions of dollars in damages and even more trillions to rebuild. But this does not mean that these events will happen, because we have the ability, knowledge, skills, and technology to solve all three of the above issues. We here at Project WAPS4 have numerous solutions that address the issues above and have included them on this website on our Solutions page. We have also included the benefits of our solutions on our Benefits page. We encourage you to visit our solutions and benefits pages and let us know what you think by sending us a message from our Contact page.
